SRMC first annual Golf Tournament. The first annual SRMC Golf Tournament was a great success. 96 golfers and twenty-six teams played the beautiful Glade Springs course on a sunny day. Special thanks to EBS, the Event Sponsor and the many Corporate and Hole sponsors who contributed to the event. |

Marathon Scholars Up and Running |

Marathon scholars are up and running again. SRMC staff, Dr. Richard Trenbath, Frank Young and Ed Powers will soon be “on the road again” to deliver T-shirts and medals to the grade school students in Nicholas, Webster and Ansted Communities. Students were visited in the fall and challenged to read 26 books and walk/run 26 miles. The goal of this SRMC funded program is to increase literacy levels in our students and decrease the incidence of childhood obesity. |

SRMC held its first senior prom in May 2010. The event was the brain child of SRMC ECF staff and Director of Nursing, Tammy Tyree. Residents were dressed in formal attire and enjoyed an evening of music, food and fun. Staff participated by donating clothing and assisting with dancing and entertainment. It was a very special time. |

SRMC held its second annual Gala in April 2010. The gala was attended by over two hundred guests and raised over $40,000 for the SRMC building fund. The music was provided by the Production Company and guests were served an exception meal. Next year’s gala is scheduled for April 9, 2011 at the Summersville Arena and Conference Center. |

 SRMC will celebrate the completion of the new lab and medical surgical rooms on May 14, 2010 from 11am-1pm. The event will be held in front of the new main hospital entrance.
